Winning always takes teamwork, but on Tuesday Sophie Nathanson stepped things up a notch to give Newton South the 'W'. Nobody could stop Nathanson as she struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off seven hits. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game.
