Basketball Recap: Crane Takes a Loss

After flying high against Stanton last Friday, Crane came back down to earth. The Crane Cranes were dealt a 79-49 loss at the hands of the Brownfield Cubs on Tuesday. The Cranes haven't had much luck with the Cubs recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Crane's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Brownfield, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 23-7.

Crane has already played their next match (against Denver City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Brownfield will venture away from home to square off against Stanton at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Stanton: they have been struggling with six straight losses at home, while Brownfield has snatched up nine consecutive wins on the road.
