Enterprise made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,993 from 12,336. The improvement came about via a 48-14 victory over the Bulldogs last week.
Taylorsville's dynamic duo of Terrian Page and Rodregus Ducksworth proved tough for Bassfield to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Page threw for 93 yards and one touchdown and Ducksworth had 48 yards receiving. Anfernee Sulllivan helped Taylorsville's passing attack out by catching two balls for 43 yards.
Grant Valverde was the most productive running back in 2A Region 7 this week. He ran for 93 yards on 10 carries as Enterprise lost to the Yellowjackets. Teammate Austin Robinson added to the ground attack by rushing for 65 yards.
Bay Springs's Jonnas Spivey and Brandon Jones have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Spivey has thrown for 1272 yards this season, while Jones has 22 catches for 366 yards. Dylan Taylor from Kelly Jimmerson's team leads the league in rushing with 702 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Bulldogs take on Mize. At the moment, Bay Springs is in third, while the Bulldogs are in second.
The Bulldogs led 2A Region 7 in scoring this week after putting up 56 points on Clarkdale.
