Basketball Recap: Monday's Win Is Mill Springs Academy's Third in Last Four Outings

Mill Springs Academy won the last time they faced Cumberland Academy of Georgia, and Hampton Hill did his part to make sure it happened again. Mill Springs Academy were the clear victor by a 64-44 margin over the Cumberland Academy of Georgia Cyclones on Monday thanks in part to Hill, who went 14 of 17 on his way to 39 points and six rebounds. The match was his 26th in a row with at least ten points.

Sam Hartman was another key player, going 7 for 15 en route to 17 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played.

Mill Springs Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Cumberland Academy of Georgia, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Howard the next time they take the court. Mill Springs Academy will host Howard at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Cumberland Academy of Georgia will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on February 5th.
