Baseball Recap: King's Academy Comes Up Short

King's Academy couldn't beat Bellarmine College Prep on Saturday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Knights lost 20-7 to the Bells. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 8-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2022.

Cyrus Sid was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

This is the second loss in a row for King's Academy and nudges their season record down to 11-11. As for Bellarmine College Prep, they now have a winning record of 14-13.

Coming up, King's Academy will host Sacred Heart Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Gators have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Bellarmine College Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
