Volleyball Recap: Midview Takes a Loss

Midview lost against Elyria Catholic back in August of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Middies fell 2-0 to the Panthers. The Middies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-16.

Laila Keith paced Midview's offense, picking up three kills. Keith got some help from Delaney Pebworth and her eight assists. Pebworth was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Midview's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Elyria Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season.

Coincidentally, Midview and Elyria Catholic will both be playing St. Vincent-St. Mary the next time they take the court. The Panthers will head out to face the Fighting Irish at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Middies will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
