Soccer Recap: Lakeside Takes a Loss

If Lakeside was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of West Seattle on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions fell just short of the Ballard Beavers by a score of 2-1 on Friday. While losing is never fun, Lakeside can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 140th, while Ballard are ranked 42nd).

Lakeside's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9-2. As for Ballard, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4-3 record this season.

Lakeside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ballard, they will square off against Ingraham at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
