Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Richmond). They blew past the Lee County Yellow Jackets 12-2 on Friday. The win was nothing new for the Raiders as they're now sitting on three straight.

Jason Walker tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out six over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Caden Nolan was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Drew Gause was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Richmond's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Lee County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.

Coming up, Richmond will face off against Caldwell Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lee County, they will take on J.H. Rose at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Rampants will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
