Preview: Encina Prep Bulldogs vs. Foresthill Wildfires
Encina Prep has been on the road for four straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Foresthill Wildfires at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Encina Prep's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five contests.
Encina Prep has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 22 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 73-29 victory over John Adams Academy on the road. With Encina Prep ahead 42-19 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Encina Prep got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Phillip Worsham out in front who scored 22 points. The contest was Worsham 's third in a row with at least ten points. Nate Wroten was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Meanwhile, Foresthill came up short against Mariposa County on Saturday and fell 59-47.
Encina Prep now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Foresthill, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
Encina Prep won a contest that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in January, slipping by Foresthill 1-0. Will Encina Prep repeat their success, or does Foresthill have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
