Basketball Game Preview: Calumet Chieftains vs. Thomas-Fay-Custer Terriers

The Calumet Chieftains will venture away from home to square off against the Thomas-Fay-Custer Terriers at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Calumet knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Thomas-Fay-Custer likes a good challenge.

Last Saturday, Calumet was fully in charge, breezing past Lomega 83-47. The Chieftains have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 27 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Thomas-Fay-Custer beat Hobart 48-43 on Saturday.

Thomas-Fay-Custer now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Calumet, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-0.

Everything came up roses for Calumet against Thomas-Fay-Custer when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 99-32 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Calumet since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
