Softball Recap: Houston Comes Up Short

Houston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kenai Central Kardinals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 12-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Houston's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Kenai Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season.

Houston has already played their next matchup, a 17-4 loss against Soldotna on the 8th. As for Kenai Central, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-4 tie against Homer on the 8th.
