After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sebastian River, Bayside was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 16-6 margin over the Cocoa Tigers. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by ten runs or more this season.
NICOLE GARCIA made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in February. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 4-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on JORDYN MILO, who went 4-for-5 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was KYLEIGH COLCLASURE, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Bayside kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Bayside's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-8. As for Cocoa, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
