Baseball Recap: Pleasant Plains Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for Pleasant Plains, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They never let the New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly Vipers get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Tuesday. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Vipers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Sean Lowder tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over six innings pitched. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Pleasant Plains saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Ponce, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Pleasant Plains hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in six consecutive games.
