Basketball Game Preview: Durand Bulldogs vs. Lena-Winslow Panthers

Durand is 1-9 against Lena-Winslow since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Durand will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Durand is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 53-45 win over Orangeville on Tuesday.

Durand's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Maddy Moore led the charge by as she made all 7 shots she took from beyond the arc for 21 points. Thanks to that strong game, Moore now owns an excellent 51.9% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaydan Bartlett, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Durand was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lena-Winslow, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They really took it to Forreston for the full four quarters, racking up a 42-14 victory. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Lena-Winslow's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Durand, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
