Volleyball Recap: Polytechnic Takes a Loss

Polytechnic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Maranatha Minutemen. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Minutemen apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2025.

Polytechnic started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 22-25, 26-24, 25-19, 25-20.

Polytechnic's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Maranatha, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Coming up, Polytechnic will face off against San Marino at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Maranatha, they will take on El Rancho at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
