Softball Recap: Santa Rosa Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Santa Rosa's offense. They lost 18-0 to the Rio Hondo Bobcats on Tuesday. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Santa Rosa's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Rio Hondo, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-10.

Coming up, Santa Rosa will head out to take on Progreso at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors are facing the Red Ants at the right time seeing as the Red Ants are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Rio Hondo, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Raymondville at 7:30 p.m. The Bobcats will need to watch out since the Bearkats have now posted at least ten runs in their last five games.
