Basketball Recap: Reno Picks Up 12th Consecutive Victory

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Reno walked away with it. They blew past the Carson Senators 62-33 on Wednesday. The Huskies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Reno's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brookesly Wilson, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 12 boards. Wilson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Eva Houston, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten boards.

Reno was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

The win (which was Reno's 12th in a row) raised their record to 21-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.9 points over those games. As for Carson, they dropped their record down to 9-16 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Reno wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 66-62 victory against Reed on the 14th. Carson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
