Soccer Recap: Bartow Takes a Loss

The matchup between Bartow and Winter Haven on Monday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Yellow Jackets lost 8-0 to the Blue Devils. If Bartow were looking for revenge after losing 1-0 to Winter Haven when the teams met back in December of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Bartow moved to 6-5-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak. As for Winter Haven, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5-1 record this season.

Bartow will be playing at home against Lakeland at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bartow will be up against Lakeland's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.43 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Winter Haven, they will venture away from home to square off against Sebring at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
