Baseball Recap: Comeaux Takes a Loss

Comeaux lost against North Vermilion back in March of 2017, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Comeaux Spartans lost 16-1 to the North Vermilion Patriots.

Comeaux's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-10. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to strikeouts: they averaged an imposing 11.67 strikeouts in those games compared to only 3.92 in the others. As for North Vermilion, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Comeaux will host Northside at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Vermilion, they will challenge David Thibodaux at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Vermilion is facing David Thibodaux at the right time seeing as David Thibodaux is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
