It may have taken  eight innings to finish the job, but Central Bucks East ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pennridge Rams, sneaking past  12-11. While the Patriots didn't have the best season last year (they finished 0-7), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
 Elena Bhatt was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs, four  runs,  and two  stolen bases while going 3-for-5. She also  hit a  double, marking her first of the season.  Hailey Helmstetter was another key player,  going 2-for-5 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs.
 Bhatt wasn't the only one working in the  home run department: Central Bucks East  lost a few balls and  finished the game with three  home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pennridge didn't  launched any home runs.
Central Bucks East pushed their record up to 5-1 with the  win, which was their third straight  on the road. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Pennridge,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-3.
 Coming up, Central Bucks East will be playing at home against Pennsbury  at 3:45  p.m.  on Friday. As for Pennridge, they will venture away from home to  take on North Penn  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
