Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Skyline

Skyline proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by 37) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Section Lions, sneaking past 62-60. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Vikings have posted since February 6, 2024.

The victory (which was Skyline's fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.8 points. As for Section, they moved to 17-5 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Skyline and North Sand Mountain will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Section, they will venture away from home to face off against Whitesburg Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Section knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Whitesburg Christian Academy likes a good challenge.
