Soccer Game Preview: Corinth vs. Saltillo

The Corinth Warriors will square off against the Saltillo Tigers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Corinth has given up an average of 4.2 goals per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Corinth is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to seven goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Oxford on Thursday. They lost 10-0 to the Chargers.

Meanwhile, Saltillo entered their tilt with Center Hill on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Mustangs get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. Give Saltillo's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Corinth's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Saltillo, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.

Corinth suffered a grim 5-1 defeat to Saltillo in their previous matchup back in November of 2022. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
