Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Maplewood). They came out on top against the Pearl-Cohn Firebirds by a score of 8-5 on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Maplewood's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Pearl-Cohn, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maplewood will head out to square off against Whites Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pearl-Cohn, they will venture away from home to challenge Stratford at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
