Baseball Recap: Sumrall Bobcats vs. Purvis Tornadoes

With a playoff game on the line, Sumrall rose to the challenge on Saturday. They blew past the Purvis Tornadoes 10-4. Considering Sumrall has won 20 matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Sumrall let Malek McNair and ST Maust loose on the outfield. McNair scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Maust scored a run while going 4-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Davis, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

On Purvis' side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JoJo Parker, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with a home run, two stolen bases, and two runs.
