After low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, Muir brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. Everything went their way against the Eagle Rock Eagles on Monday as Muir made off with a 10-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Muir got a great performance from Miguel Castillo as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. Castillo has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Conrad Hunziker, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Eduardo Sosa, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Muir was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.

Muir's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Eagle Rock, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Muir has already played their next match, a 13-3 win against New Roads on the 19th. As for Eagle Rock, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 9-1 loss against Glendale on the 21st.
