Lone Peak skates past Pleasant Grove with ease

Recap: Lone Peak Knights vs. Pleasant Grove Vikings

In what's become a running theme this season, the Lone Peak Knights gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They claimed a resounding 73-21 win over Pleasant Grove at home. The win was nothing new for Lone Peak as they're now sitting on six straight.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lone Peak to victory, but perhaps none more so than Naia Tanuvasa, who scored 17 points along with five steals. Tanuvasa is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Shawnee Nordstrom, who scored 19 points along with seven steals.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Pleasant Grove struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Lone Peak racked up 14 assists.

Lone Peak has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Pleasant Grove, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-9.

Lone Peak will head out on the road to face off against Skyridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lone Peak is coming into the game with 11 straight wins on the road, so Skyridge is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for Pleasant Grove, they will be playing at home against American Fork at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Utah (American Fork is ranked 43rd, while Pleasant Grove is ranked 34th).
