Softball Game Preview: Dublin Lions vs. Early Longhorns

Dublin is 1-6 against Early since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Dublin will head out to square off against Early at 5:00 p.m. Dublin has given up an average of 13.1 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Dublin is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Friday. They lost 15-2 to Eastland.

Meanwhile, Early came up short against Tolar on Friday and fell 8-5. The Longhorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jamie Vassar made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Kyleigh Caperton, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Dublin's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Early, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.

Dublin might still be hurting after the 27-10 loss they got from Early when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Dublin avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
