Basketball Recap: Madison Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Ashlyn Mckindra and Sophia Alejandro

Madison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They took a hard 41-24 fall against the Clark Cougars. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mavericks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-19 on January 3rd.

Madison's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Sophia Alejandro, who posted nine points and seven boards, and Ashlyn McKindra, who earned seven points and six rebounds. That's the most points Alejandro has posted since back in November of 2024.

Even though they lost, Madison smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. This was only their 16th loss (out of 19 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.

Madison's record is now 4-26. As for Clark, their victory bumped their record up to 13-14.

Madison has already played their next contest (against Johnson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Clark will look to defend their home court on Friday against Brandeis at 5:00 p.m.
