Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tonopah). Everything went their way against the Beaver Dam Diamondback on Saturday as they made off with a 26-16 win. Considering the Muckers have won six contests by more than nine runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
The team relied heavily on Liberty Deck, who scored five runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Baudoin, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
Tonopah always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .674. They are 6-3 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Tonopah is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.7 runs over those games.
