Baseball Recap: Damonte Ranch Takes a Loss

Damonte Ranch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They fell 7-4 to the Galena Grizzlies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Grizzlies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on March 13th.

Topher Shirley was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

Damonte Ranch's record is now 1-9. As for Galena, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Damonte Ranch will face off against rival Reed at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Galena is set to take on their familiar foe Douglas at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
