While Sedan's win against Flinthills wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Sedan sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over Flinthills on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Devils have posted against the Mustangs since April 11, 2022.
Jackson Shipley was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over 4.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Shipley was even better at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, Rance Gorby was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Brycen Dickens, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple and one RBI.
