Big Game from Phinizee As Russellville Won 44-13

Cameron Phinizee's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his 20th-straight game with 105+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 196 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also picked up 35 receiving yards. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 82-yard run.

West Point had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Phinizee it was a similar story. When Phinizee last faced the Warriors back in September of 2023, he rushed for 230 yards and five touchdowns on only 11 carries.

Jake Harper and Co. Win Seventh in a Row

Jake Harper was instrumental in extending Fairview's winning streak to seven on Friday. Harper did his part (and then some), rushing for 251 yards on only 13 carries for the 'W'. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 121 rushing yards.

Fairview's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Harper and Fairview will stay at home for another week and welcome East Limestone at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Ollie Howell Delivers Best Performance of Season

Sadly, Ollie Howell posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead West Point over Russellville on Friday. Howell rushed for 187 yards while picking up 9.8 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 59 yards.

On the year, Howell has averaged 87.8 rushing yards per game.

A Season-Best Effort from Tarus Davis Leads Russellville over West Point

On Friday, Russellville got the W thanks in part to Tarus Davis playing the best football he has all season. Davis rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.

For the season, Davis has run in 4 touchdowns while averaging 55.5 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown.
