Basketball Recap: Eastmoor Academy Falls to Granville in First Game of Season

Eastmoor Academy had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 51-47 to the Granville Blue Aces. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 52-46 to the Blue Aces when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Eastmoor Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Dekar Moultrie, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Stephon Simpkin was another key player, shooting 56% from the field en route to 11 points along with seven boards and three steals.

Eastmoor Academy has already played their next game, a 72-49 defeat against Bishop Hartley on the 5th. As for Granville, they will square off against St. Charles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
