Central Square and East Syracuse-Minoa are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The Redhawks will head out on the road to square off against the Spartans at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. Central Square is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Fayetteville-Manlius hit East Syracuse-Minoa with a four-run second inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Spartans came up short against the Hornets, falling 10-4. The Spartans have struggled against the Hornets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

East Syracuse-Minoa's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Central Square, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Central Square took their victory against East Syracuse-Minoa in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 9-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Redhawks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
