Soccer Game Preview: Davidson vs. Daphne

Davidson is 0-7 against Daphne since February of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Warriors will face off against the Trojans at 5:30 p.m.

Davidson lost 5-1 to St. Luke's Episcopal last Thursday. Davidson have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Daphne entered their tilt with Orange Beach on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Makos. Alexia Charqueno had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Daphne.

Daphne's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three matches. As for Davidson, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8-2.

Davidson suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Daphne in their previous matchup back in March of 2023. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
