Two dominant backs in Isaiah Mcgill and Jaidon Hurst are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. After each having a week off, the Hunters Lane Warriors and the Springfield Yellow Jackets will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Springfield took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Hunters Lane, who comes in off a win.

Hunters Lane is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their match on the road two weeks ago with ease, bagging a 48-12 victory over Stratford. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Warriors as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Mcgill continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 185 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. Marcion Walton was another key back, rushing for 118 yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Springfield was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap last Friday as they fell 27-21 to Hendersonville.

Despite the defeat, Springfield got top-tier performance from Hurst, who rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown.

Hunters Lane's victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5. As for Springfield, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Friday's matchup might be decided in the on the ground. Hunters Lane has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 184 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Springfield struggles in that department as they've been averaging 160.1. It's looking like Friday's game might have some serious battles in the trenches.
