Baseball Recap: Kent Island Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cambridge-South Dorchester on Wednesday, Kent Island came back down to earth. The Buccaneers fell just short of the Queen Anne's County Lions by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Buccaneers in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost four in a row.

Kent Island's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Queen Anne's County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-6.

Coming up, Kent Island will be playing in front of their home fans against North Caroline at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Queen Anne's County, they will head out to face off against Wicomico at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lions are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
