Basketball Game Preview: Tocoi Creek Toros vs. Bartram Trail Bears

The Tocoi Creek Toros will challenge the Bartram Trail Bears at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Tocoi Creek will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Tocoi Creek is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 56-30 margin over Buchholz. The Toros have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 21 points or more this season.

Tocoi Creek can attribute much of their success to Gabi Iturralde, who went 6 of 11 on her way to 15 points along with six assists and four steals, and Audrey Beyer, who went 5 for 10 to rack up 16 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Asiana McCreary, who posted eight points and three blocks.

Meanwhile, Bartram Trail posted their closest victory since January 23, 2024 on Thursday. They skirted past Forest 45-42. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bears.

Bartram Trail's win came from a few key players Tocoi Creek will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Alyssa Donohue, who went 8 for 16 en route to 17 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Miranda Campos was another key player, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 boards.

Bartram Trail's win bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Tocoi Creek, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 16-7.
