Volleyball Recap: Harvard Takes a Loss

Harvard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Silver Lake Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cardinals of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-9.

Hannah Harms paced Harvard's offense, picking up four kills. Harms got some help from Haley Gimpel and her six assists.

Sophie Schmidt had a dynamite game For Silver Lake., getting nine digs and eight aces. Those eight aces gave Schmidt a new career-high.

Harvard's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Silver Lake, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Coming up, Harvard will take on Franklin at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Silver Lake, they are taking a road trip to take on Blue Hill on Tuesday.
