While Brighton's victory against Skyline wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bengals narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Eagles 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Bengals in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Brighton wouldn't go down easily and took Skyline into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-23, 25-23, 24-26, 15-9.

Despite the loss, Skyline saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kai Carlton had 16 digs and four aces.

Brighton's win bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Skyline, they moved to 10-16 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Brighton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Alta on the 2nd. As for Skyline, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Olympus on the 5th.
