Preview: Bremond Tigers vs. Evant Elks
After two games on the road, Bremond is heading back home. They will take on the Evant Elks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams have allowed few points on average, (Bremond: 22.6, Evant: 27.7) so any points scored will be well earned.
Bremond has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 28 points or more this season. They took their game on the road on Thursday with ease, bagging a 75-23 win over Granger. Given Bremond's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 192nd, while Granger is ranked 1205th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Evant is still undefeated this season after their match against Jonesboro on Saturday, but Jonesboro came as close as anyone has to beating them. Evant had just enough and edged Jonesboro out 25-22.
Evant can attribute much of their success to Bree Ramirez, who scored 7 points along with 7 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Luwi Rodriquez, who scored 5 points along with 5 assists.
Bremond's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Evant, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.
