Football Recap: Pinellas Park Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Frankie Cherry and Nate Norfleet + How To Watch

Pinellas Park fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Osceola on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 23-20. The Patriots gained 193 more yards on the day, but it was the Warriors that made the best use of them.

Pinellas Park's loss came despite strong showings from Nate Norfleet and Frankie Cherry. Norfleet picked up 104 receiving yards and one TD, while Cherry threw for 216 yards and one touchdown while completing 72.2% of his passes. Cherry's passing game has become a key predictor of the Patriots' success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 3-4 otherwise.

Brandt Scott had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 193 yards and one score, while also throwing for eight yards and one touchdown for Osceola. That's the most rushing yards Scott has posted since back in August of 2024.

Pinellas Park moved to 5-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Osceola, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3.

As of now, neither Pinellas Park nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
