Soccer Game Preview: Rolling Meadows vs. Schaumburg

The Rolling Meadows Mustangs will venture away from home to face off against the Schaumburg Saxons at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rolling Meadows' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Rolling Meadows turned things around against Riverside-Brookfield on Monday. Neither they nor the Bulldogs could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Rolling Meadows' first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in March, Schaumburg was forced to settle for a draw on Saturday. They played to a draw too, finishing 1-1 against Jacobs.

Schaumburg's goal came courtesy of Alexis Almli, who's now up to five this season.

Schaumburg's draw gives them a new season record of 7-6-3. Meanwhile, Rolling Meadows' record is now 7-9-1.

Rolling Meadows couldn't quite get it done against Schaumburg in their previous meeting back in April as they fell 2-0. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
