Coronado came tearing into Saturday's game with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Denver East Angels by a score of 2-0. The two-set effort marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Sebastian Steger paced Coronado's offense, picking up six kills. Steger got some help from Paolo Piuma and his 20 assists. Finally, Steger was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Coronado's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Denver East, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Coronado wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Mullen on the 15th. As for Denver East, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Thomas Jefferson on the 15th.
