Basketball Recap: Mayville Cardinals vs. Dodgeland Trojans
Mayville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 48-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dodgeland Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cardinals of the 51-46 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Mayville's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Dodgeland, the win for them keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Mayville will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against St. Mary's Springs at 7:00 p.m. St. Mary's Springs knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Mayville likes a good challenge. As for Dodgeland, they and Waterloo are set to duel on Saturday.
