Baseball Game Preview: Sidney Yellowjackets vs. Tippecanoe Red Devils

The Sidney Yellowjackets will face off against the Tippecanoe Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Sidney has given up an average of 9.6 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lebanon hit Sidney with a six-run seventh inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Yellowjackets lost 11-3 to the Warriors. The defeat continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost three in a row.

Sidney saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Shipe, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Tippecanoe entered their game against Troy on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Red Devils fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 6-5. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 19, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Sidney's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Tippecanoe, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5.

Sidney might still be hurting after the 8-2 loss they got from Tippecanoe in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Yellowjackets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
