Volleyball Game Preview: Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack vs. Elk Grove Thundering Herd

Cosumnes Oaks is 0-5 against Elk Grove since April of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:30 p.m.

Cosumnes Oaks came up short against Laguna Creek last Thursday, falling 3-0.

Cosumnes Oaks was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-22, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Elk Grove earned a 3-1 victory over Westlake Charter on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Thundering Herd.

Elk Grove walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-13, 22-25, 25-18, 25-16.

Cosumnes Oaks' defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Elk Grove, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6.

Cosumnes Oaks might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Elk Grove in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Cosumnes Oaks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
