Soccer Game Preview: Elizabethtown vs. North Oldham

The Elizabethtown Panthers will face off against the North Oldham Mustangs at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Elizabethtown will be strutting in after a win while North Oldham will be coming in after a loss.

Elizabethtown took a loss when they played away from home last Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They never let John Hardin get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. Elizabethtown might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, North Oldham faced Bishop Brossart in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. North Oldham fell 2-0 to Bishop Brossart. Considering the last time North Oldham couldn't score was back in August, the team can't take the result too hard.

Elizabethtown's win bumped their record up to 7-5-1. As for North Oldham, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 9-6.

Everything went Elizabethtown's way against North Oldham in their previous meeting back in September of 2023, as Elizabethtown made off with a 6-0 victory. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
