Recap: Antonito Trojans vs. Sangre de Cristo Thunderbirds
The Antonito Trojans had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a rough 78-4 loss at the hands of Sangre de Cristo. Antonito has struggled against Sangre de Cristo recently, as their match on Thursday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Antonito got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Kevyn Aragon and
Luz Elena Parra, who each put up two points. Aragon also led the team in rebounds with six.
Cambria Rael took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with a assist.
Antonito's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Sangre de Cristo, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Antonito will square off against Cotopaxi at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sangre de Cristo, they will head out on the road to face off against Sargent at 4:30 p.m. on December 9th.
