Grosse Pointe South was sadly handed a defeat on Wednesday, but Charlie Michelotti did his best to prevent it. Michelotti wasn't messing around, pitching four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. The pitching appearance was his fourth straight with two or fewer walks.

Even though Michelotti couldn't lead Grosse Pointe South over Anchor Bay, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sadly, Michelotti's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Blue Devils' 13-game streak of wins at home.
